Abstract

Social Rehabilitation Centers in the City of Esmeraldas. They are classificated in: a) Social Rehabilitation Center: places where they are deprived of freedom but that have programs of rehabilitation and reintegration into society. These are divided into stages of minimum median and maximum security, b) Detention Centers: places where people are arrested for contraventions (fighting on public roads) and to people who are still in criminal proceedings and still have no sentence and they are not dangerous, c) Juvenile Correctional Facility: places of detention of minors who are involved in criminal offenses.

This data was collected through participative monitoring supported by the students of the Luis Vargas Torres University and the Instituto de Geografía - USFQ as part of the project of Secondary Cities. The data was collected through the use of tools as Survey 123 and ArcGIS Online. The students visit every neighborhood of Esmeraldas.
